Applications Specialist II - Divisional Warehouse ID- 10805

About the position

The Applications Specialist II role at ALDI focuses on supporting the National IT Services department by optimizing warehouse operations through advanced technical systems and applications. This position is pivotal in collaborating with teams to enhance software and database expertise, ensuring efficient project delivery and process improvements within the organization. The role offers a comprehensive training plan and the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, balancing remote and in-office work.

Responsibilities

  • Notifies team leadership of recurring issues.
  • Recommends process improvements for area of responsibility.
  • Resolves incidents and requests in a timely manner; documents work and resolution steps within service management tool.
  • Escalates incidents and requests to appropriate internal personnel or external vendors when further expertise is required.
  • Participates in the overall Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service management processes for software and hardware solutions.
  • Assists or coordinates with national and international project delivery, including documentation, testing, training, and deployment for software or hardware solutions.
  • Utilizes and maintains advanced technical skills and experience or advanced level of ALDI business expertise to achieve the position objective.
  • Identifies and coordinates the development and implementation of procedures and process improvements across multiple services and/or teams.
  • Evaluates current processes, procedures and technology, and reports findings to leadership.
  • Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to leadership.
  • Complies with ALDI privacy and security requirements and policies if job responsibilities include possible access to confidential and/or sensitive information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience with support of Warehouse Management Systems preferred.
  • Hands on experience with Manhattan WMS/WMOS preferred.
  • Supply chain experience preferred.
  • Experience participating in and leading projects preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience implementing large scale warehouse management solutions preferred.
  • Experience with SQL - Intermediate to Advanced skillset preferred.
  • Experience in Jira and Confluence systems preferred.
  • Exposure with SSIS/SSRS reporting preferred.
