Home Depot is seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and design of innovative products that will enhance the experience for Home Depot’s customers and partners. As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, working together to build, deliver, and support production applications. You’ll also be involved in areas such as product setup, security, scalability, performance tuning, and production monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:


• 60% Development & Execution: Assist in the creation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software applications. Follow best practices and participate in code reviews and team discussions. Consistently help the team achieve results even under tight deadlines.
• 20% Learning & Growth: Develop your skills by tackling new challenges and seeking out opportunities to learn. Participate in formal and informal development channels to grow professionally.
• 20% Collaboration & Adjustment: Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with team members to meet shared goals. Work with other teams in an agile environment and communicate clearly with stakeholders.

Qualifications:


• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
• Basic understanding of object-oriented programming, ideally in Java.
• Experience with source code version control (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL).
• Exposure to cloud computing concepts and tools.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Understanding of microservice-based architecture is a plus.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:


• Movement: The majority of the time will be spent seated in a comfortable position with frequent opportunities to move around. Occasionally, light lifting or moving objects may be required.
• Work Environment: The position is primarily based in an indoor office environment, with rare exposure to uncomfortable conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
• Exposure to object-oriented programming languages (ideally Java).
• Understanding of source code version control and database management.
• Familiarity with cloud computing techniques and CI/CD tools.
• Experience with microservice-based architecture.
