Overview:
Square Pegs Learning Center is seeking an experienced and credentialed Early Childhood Program Director to lead our early childhood program for ages 2–5. This is an exciting opportunity to help launch and manage a new daycare under the Square Pegs nonprofit umbrella, which specializes in structured, supportive environments for young learners.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations in compliance with Florida and Bay County child care regulations
- Manage staff hiring, training, and supervision
- Implement and maintain age-appropriate curriculum and schedules
- Ensure safety, cleanliness, and licensing compliance at all times
- Serve as the primary contact for parent communication and enrollment
- Maintain all required documentation and regulatory records
Requirements:
- Florida Director Credential issued by the Department of Children and Families (DCF)
- Active Staff Credential (e.g., FCCPC or equivalent)
- Completion of required DCF training hours
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Level 2 Background Screening clearance
- At least 1 year of experience as a child care director or in a similar leadership role
- All required certifications must be current and valid for operation in Bay County, FL
Start Date: Targeting mid-July 2025
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
