Who are we looking for?

We seek a motivated architect or designer to contribute, collaborate, and engage with us on exciting projects with sophisticated clients. If you have between five and seven years of experience, are highly motivated, curious, see opportunity in challenges, and have excellent written and visual communication skills, we would like to meet you.

Our team members pride themselves on a holistic design principle that equally prioritizes broad concepts and technical details. As a practice committed to responsible building methods, we opt for candidates who are mindful of the environmental impact of their work and eager to use new technologies to build more sustainably.

Kindness defines the culture at KOVAC. With this in mind, we welcome candidates with a genuine interest in collaboration, active learning, and open dialogue.

What should a successful candidate expect?

You will participate in every phase of a project’s development from the concept to the construction phase. You will interact with consultants, contractors, and clients. Guided by an inquisitive ethos, we foster a natural exchange of ideas through discussion and mutual participation. With this in mind, you will brainstorm ideas, participate in weekly pin-up sessions, sketch, and advocate for better creative solutions.

You will also produce construction documents, presentations, renderings, schedules, research new materials, and, with the guidance of more senior-level staff, take ownership of your work, see it implemented, and built.

Why work with us?

We are an award-winning architecture and design practice known for our highly personalized, client-driven approach. Drawing on over three decades of experience, the studio has designed residential and commercial projects for a world-class roster of clients.

Like our approach to design, our studio is people-first. We foster a healthy work-life balance and bring a curious, humble attitude to all we do. We are excited by the discoveries our team members bring to the table, and new ways of thinking are always welcome. While we encourage individuals to own their strengths, we also provide opportunities for growth and learning.

What impact will you make?
