Job Summary

This is a temporary position for a period of two (2) years. This position oversees the operational areas of Linear Assets to include Collections Systems, Distribution, Water Quality and Locates.

Essential Job Functions

In the event of an emergency, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.
Education, Experience, and Other Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related course study or ten (10) years experience in water and wastewater services in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum five (5) years of professional work experience at a management level in water and/or wastewater treatment utility management, engineering management with an emphasis on water and wastewater systems, or utility maintenance management.
Special Qualifications:
  • Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid State of North Carolina driver's license.
  • Additional water or wastewater treatment certifications or project management certifications is desired.

Pay Grade: R37
