Description

Job Title: Part Time Event Attendant

Job Summary: The Part-Time Event Attendant is responsible for setting up and tearing down chairs, tables, and other related materials/furniture in exhibit halls, lobbies, public areas, and meeting rooms at the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC) in preparation for various events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting up chairs, tables, partitions, and other related materials/furniture.
  • Breaking down and stacking chairs, tables, partitions, and other related materials/furniture.
  • Setting up risers for events.
  • FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS AND REVIEWING ROOM PLANS TO SET UP FOR EVENTS.
  • Working efficiently and quickly to set up and break down areas for events.
  • Maintaining proper care of uniforms, equipment, and supplies.
  • Safely operating assigned Facility Services equipment after completing training.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency. Area of Study: General Studies
  • 0-1 years of related work experience.
  • Will train on-site.
  • Previous work experience in a convention center, hotel, or large public meeting facility is a plus.
  • General work experience is necessary.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • A variable work schedule, including late hours, early mornings, holidays, and weekends, will be required.
