The Enterprise Business Information Services (EBIS) Division is a part of JPL's Laboratory Operations Integration Directorate. We maintain stewardship over the ever-evolving Business IT portfolio of applications and systems required to support the Laboratory's business function and processes. We handle the full systems lifecycle across all major business processes, provide analytical and technical services, as well as strategically partner with Laboratory community to ensure continuous delivery of business IT services. Some key initiatives embraced by our division includes a business intelligence program, Robotic Process Automation, data analytics, exploring AI capabilities, and adopting agile methodologies and tools.

This opportunity seeks an Enterprise Applications Software Engineer within the Enterprise Business Information Services Division (EBIS) Division joining a dedicated team of IT professionals in the Supply Chain Management Information Services Section. This new team member will have opportunities to innovate and apply technologies across a broad spectrum of industry practices in procure-to pay, manufacturing, facilities and logistics business domains. In this highly impactful, far-reaching role, you can demonstrate highly collaborative behavior, be results-oriented, and exhibit domain expertise whose experiences couple both technology and business sense. The ideal candidate works independently and in collaboration with other team members, is analytical, applies judgment, has multi-tasking and technical skills to effectively support the business systems needs of both internal and external business partners, including the timely accomplishment of performance delivery, and schedule landmarks.

Required Qualifications:

*Successful candidate will need to work a hybrid schedule. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with data security methods and safeguarding different classification of information, both at rest and in transit.
  • Familiarity with basic toolsets that support development, such as Jira and GitHub.
  • Familiarity of continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Experience with search technologies like Elastic or Oracle Text etc.
  • Hands-on experience working with technologies like Kafka, AI, and machine learning

The hiring range displayed below is specifically for those who will work in or reside in the location listed. In extending an offer, Jet Propulsion Laboratory considers factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s job related skills, experience, knowledge, and relevant education/training. Hiring range for this job may be adjusted based on primary work location outside of Pasadena, California. This adjusted range will be provided to candidates by the Recruiter when applicable.
