About the position

The Security Access Control Officer at Unifi Aviation LLC plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of the DFW airport environment. This position involves providing consistent access control by verifying the credentials of guests and employees, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to secure areas. The officer will perform regular patrols of the perimeter, parking lots, and buildings, either on foot or in a vehicle, to monitor for any suspicious activities or security breaches. Additionally, the officer will be responsible for opening and closing gates, managing incoming traffic, and inspecting identification and vehicle decals to maintain a secure environment. In this role, the officer will also monitor closed-circuit television systems and alarms, inventory keys and radios, and issue keys to contractors as necessary.

It is essential for the officer to take detailed reports of any criminal or suspicious activities related to the company's property, personnel, or operations. The officer will advise the management team of any emergencies or security incidents, ensuring appropriate resolutions are implemented. Handling building emergency alarms, such as fire alarms or elevator entrapments, is also a critical responsibility. The position may require performing other related duties as assigned, within the expected skill and experience capabilities. Candidates must be local residents with a valid in-state ID and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a 10-year background check. The role requires individuals to be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States. Completion of SIDA training may be necessary to obtain airport authority identification security. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment with a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Provides consistent access control through verification of guest and employee credentials.
  • Performs perimeter, parking lot, and building patrol on foot or in vehicle.
  • Provides direction and answers questions to assist guests and employees.
  • Opens and closes gates, proactively secures and controls areas as needed.
  • Admits and controls incoming traffic. Inspects identification and vehicle decals.
  • Monitors closed circuit systems and alarms.
  • Inventory keys, radios and other equipment and issue keys to the contractor.
  • Takes reports of criminal or other suspicious activities dealing with Company's property, personnel or operations.
  • Advises management team of any emergency or security incident for appropriate resolution.
  • Handles all building emergency alarms (i.e., fire, elevator entrapment, intercom and so forth).
  • Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.
