Screenwriter Needed to Adapt Original Stage Musical Into Cinematic Miniseries (Emotional & Musical) ID- 10313

Hey there,

I’m looking for a screenwriter with real experience adapting stage works—especially musicals—into something cinematic. The project is called A Senior Moment, an original comedy/drama stage musical about dementia and aging, love and loss, and the crazy world of assisted living. It’s emotional, funny, sad, cathartic, and deeply human. It occurred to me as I was doing speech therapy as a Certified Dementia Practitioner, there isn't a show quite like this, one that tells the tale of dementia, and in such a palatable format. So I got to work.

I wrote 24 original songs for the show (think Jerry Herman meets Frank Wildhorn—with a little Elton). It was originally designed for the stage, but it turned out bigger than any stage would comfortably allow—so before I cut it down to fit, I want to see it done the way I envisioned it. I realized a miniseries fits best, in that it will fit best there, and would also be available to a wider audience.

I wrote the book, music, and lyrics for the show. I’ve got all the vocal sheet music, orchestrations in progress, and a beautiful animatic created by Don Bluth’s former director of animation that brings the tone of the show to life.

I’m looking for a collaborator, not just a contractor. Someone who can:
