This job's time zone is Eastern.
Temporary opportunity for an entry-level Payroll Specialist for the summer! Start date is 5/5/25 and the assignment will last through the end of August 2025. 

The Payroll Specialist will support a non-profit organization’s summer employment program and provide payroll support for approximately 900 seasonal employees. This role will focus on payroll administration and employee support to ensure smooth payroll processes.

Key responsibilities include:

1.    Payroll Portal Management:

Enter employee data such as names, demographics, and birthdates into the ADP Workforce Now payroll system.
Review and verify I-9 documents for compliance
2.    Timekeeping and Payroll Support:

Monitor timesheets and payroll entries for accuracy and approval.
Communicate with employees to address discrepancies and ensure timely payroll processing every two weeks.
Assist participants with navigating the online payroll system and mobile app (ADP Workforce Now).

Training &  Supervision: Reporting to the Sr. Accountant/Payroll Specialist, Spencer, who will also handle training.
Education: Ideal for recent graduates, or college students (rising juniors or seniors preferred)
Technology: Computers will be provided.

Requirements


• Ability to accurately Review Timesheets for payroll processing

• Strong Data Entry skills, with emphasis on accuracy and speed

• Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now payroll system is helpful but not required

• Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality

• Excellent organizational skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must possess a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
