Bartender / Bar Back ID-10470

Attends pre-event meeting with Event Captain and receives assignments and instructions required to execute the event plan in a way to meet or exceed client expectations.

Sets up required equipment, product, and supplies, including food and beverage displays, dining tables, and other tables and fixtures, field kitchens, and work areas per the event plan. Positions other equipment and supplies items as logical. Double checks bar products inventory, and makes appropriate notes. Chills bar products at appropriate time to ensure proper product serving temperature.

Works with other vendors, venue staff, and client as needed to complete set-up.

Just prior to guest arrival, executes a readiness and appearance check on bar and beverage station, and personal appearance.

During event, executes assigned duties per the event plan, which may include, but not be limited to the following: interacting with guests to help them make beverage choices; preparing and serving beverages; checking ID on guests appearing 30 years of age or younger; collecting money (at cash bars); keeping appropriate records of product usage as called for in the event plan; restocking products as necessary; bussing dirty serviceware; keeping facility clean and orderly; taking care of special guest requests; assisting other staff members as necessary to maintain excellent guest service.

Anticipates guest needs (whether in an assigned area or otherwise), and responds appropriately to maintain high levels of guest service and satisfaction.

As elements of the event are completed, removes unneeded equipment, products, and supplies as logical. Cleans, packs, and loads-out as appropriate. Practices “clean-as-you-go”.

Represents BMC to the client, guests, other vendors, and the venue in a way commensurate with BMC’s reputation for being the best caterer to work with in the market.

Complies with all BMC uniform and appearance standards.

Practices strong teamwork.

At the conclusion of the event, works with other staff to strike, clean, pack, and load-out remaining equipment, product, and supplies in an orderly fashion. Leaves venue cleaner than we found it. Ensures all company owned items are out of the venue, and loaded.

Manages company, venue, and client resources for optimal productivity and minimal waste. Handles, packs, and loads company equipment with appropriate care to avoid damage.
