We have a job opening and exciting career opportunity for a full-time Warehouse Manager in our Wichita, KSlocation. The primary role of the Warehouse Manager is to drive performance and have responsibility for oversight of personnel, receiving, inventory, shipping, logistics, fiscal and facilities activities at Distribution Centers (DC) under 50,000 square feet and with less than 10 employees. The Warehouse Manager will drive consistency and cost reduction through the creation and implementation of standardized work processes; and will closely monitor distribution results and execution against company standards.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities include overall management of the Distribution Center. The individual will be responsible for possessing full understanding of the goals and objectives of the DC and implementing strategies to support those goals and objectives. This position is responsible for infusing Concordance culture into the DC, the staff, and business transactions; and for collaborating with various departments within Concordance to achieve levels of outstanding service that the company is committed to providing. In addition, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for meeting Distribution Center financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions. The Warehouse Manager will foster good communication with all internal departments to ensure alignment of all goals / objectives. The Warehouse Manager will play a key role in hiring, training, developing and managing team members.

  • Reviews, recommends, and develops changes in operations, processes, and systems. Ensures the proper implementation and maintenance of approved changes.
  • Ensure the highest standards are achieved in the areas of safety, personnel, efficiency and product quality, while complying with all company policies and legal regulations.
  • Oversee the company fleet to ensure safe operation and management, following all company policies and legal requirements.
  • Develop relationships and excellent lines of communication with all internal and external key members; develop a clear understanding of the needs and expectations of the account.
  • Lead warehouse personnel; including the hiring, training, development, supervision, and performance management of team members.
  • Provide clear understanding and constant feedback to team members and leadership on progress against agreed upon goals and objectives.
  • Proactively work with cross functional teams, both internal and external, to ensure that the company meets or exceeds the expectations of our customers. Investigate service failures, and develop, implement and monitor appropriate corrective and preventative action.
  • Assist in developing warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems; evaluating and recommending new equipment.
  • Collaborate and communicate with external suppliers to develop strong and effective relationships that support the company's growth and profitability plans.
  • Provide leadership to team members by exhibiting a positive attitude while navigating through industry and company changes.
  • Participate in company meetings and initiatives as appropriate. Be an active participant in sharing best practices, solution-based selling techniques and industry knowledge with team members.
  • Represent the company to the community in a positive manner, consistent with its marketing and customer goals.
  • Some travel may be required.
