Description

ILS Farms is looking to add a full time Farm Laborer for our large central Kansas farm with state-of-the-art technology. Precision farming experience is beneficial. Class A or CDL helpful but not required.  Experience preferred.

Summary:  To perform all activities involved in the farming operation in order to meet productivity and profitability objectives.  This includes planting, harvesting, and everyday maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Operate equipment to prepare ground for planting of crops.
  • Operate equipment to sow crops on assigned plots and acreage.
  • Operate equipment to apply fertilizer or pesticides on assigned plots or acreage.
  • Changes oil, greases and makes limited repairs to farm equipment and machinery.
  • Assists in the general repair and maintenance of farm buildings and storage facilities.
  • Repair fences as needed.
  • Oversee irrigation process and repair systems as needed.
