Veterinary Technician/Assistant ID- 10491
Animal Health Center in Wichita, Kansas is a general small animal practice with a heavy interest in house rabbits- we seek an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Veterinary Assistant/Technician.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, patient care, communication with clients and staff, sample collection and processing for lab work, taking radiographs and vitals, surgery set up and assistance, working both unassisted and as part of a team, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications include proven experience in a veterinary clinic, a strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures, impeccable attendance, ability to lift 40 lbs. unassisted, effectively working with other team members, accountability for performing individualized tasks as instructed, capable of multitasking and adapting in a dynamic environment, and attention to detail.
Availability includes Monday-Saturday; Spanish speaking is a plus. Pending experience, this position may include cross training in both reception and medical/clinical responsibilities. Salary depends on credentials, education, work experience, and clinical skill set and may extend past the pay range.
