The role:

RevenueCat helps apps of all shapes and sizes make more money across mobile, the web, and a growing list of other platforms. Our success—and the rapid growth we’ve achieved—has been fueled by amazing word of mouth, supported by high quality content that resonates with our diverse user base: from developers and product managers to marketers and data analysts.

We already have a Senior Content Marketing Manager steering our overarching content strategy and data-driven initiatives. Now, we’re searching for a Content Marketing Manager to own and expand our community-centric properties—specifically Sub Club and a top-secret new project—and amplify user-generated content.

In this role, you’ll be the point person for bringing our community to life, ensuring developers, marketers, and product teams not only get valuable resources, but also have ways to connect, share, and learn from each other. What You'll Be Responsible ForSub Club

  • Manage content related to our industry-leading podcast on app growth, including promotions and episode amplification
  • Revitalize and manage the Sub Club community, fostering engagement, sourcing ideas, and turning it into a growth and content engine
  • Own, write, and send the 10,000 subscriber strong Sub Club newsletter, connecting our community to fresh insights and ensuring it aligns with broader content goals

{Redacted} ownership

  • Build and execute the content roadmap for this top-secret H2 project, covering the entire lifecycle from launch to sustained growth
  • Write your own pieces, and source contributions from internal experts and external contributors, ensuring comprehensive coverage of {redacted}
  • Oversee the project’s launch, SEO, user engagement, and promotional strategies
  • Keep a direct feedback loop between {redacted} and Sub Club, leveraging community discussions for content ideas and user generated stories

User-generated and customer content

  • Source, curate, and produce content featuring real-world app success stories—showcasing user insights, collaborating with Product Marketing closely
  • Actively encourage user-generated content within Sub Club (e.g., tips, best practices, Q&A), turning community activity into shareable pieces

Shared responsibilities

  • Write and publish for the RevenueCat blog, especially pieces that stem from {redacted} and Sub Club insights, user stories, or community discussions
  • Coordinate with the larger Marketing team to amplify new content across social channels, newsletters, and other channels
  • Collaborate with Developer Advocacy, Sales, and Performance Marketing to ensure a cohesive brand experience across all user touchpoints

What Success Looks LikeWithin the first month, you'll:

  • Familiarize yourself with RevenueCat’s platform, our audience, and the existing content ecosystem
  • Set up regular syncs with the Senior Content Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams (Product, Developer Advocacy, Marketing Ops) to understand current priorities
  • Evaluate the state of Sub Club (podcast, community, and newsletter) and outline a plan for quick improvements
  • Contribute at least one blog post or newsletter issue, focusing on your unique perspective or community insight

Within the first 3 months, you'll:

  • Revitalize Sub Club: Launch at least one community initiative (e.g., an AMA series or podcast mini-series) to drive engagement
  • Develop {redacted} Roadmap: Map out a content calendar detailing topics, contributors, and timelines
  • Integrate Community Feedback: Establish a regular cadence for soliciting user input from Sub Club to inform content pieces
  • Onboard External Contributors: Work with the Senior Content Marketing Manager to collaborate with new writers or industry experts for {redacted}

Within the first 6 months, you'll:

  • Grow Sub Club Membership: Measure increased engagement, membership, and content contributions from users
  • Launch {redacted}!: Roll out key modules or articles, gather feedback, and iterate to optimize for traffic, SEO, and user satisfaction
  • Establish a Feedback Loop: Use community interactions to refine content strategy—creating blog posts, guides, or podcast episodes that address emerging app development trends
  • Cross-Functional Wins: Partner with Developer Advocacy for a joint initiative (e.g., a webinar or tutorial series) and highlight success stories in your content

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing in a B2B/B2D SaaS context, ideally with some developer-facing components
  • Demonstrated user-generated content chops: Whether it’s a successful guest blogging program, a community you mined for contributors, or something else – you know how to create win-win content collaboration opportunities
  • Strong writing and editing skills: Able to break down complex concepts into accessible, engaging pieces for a range of audiences
  • Project management muscle: You can keep multiple content streams (podcast, newsletter, {redacted}) organized and on schedule
  • Collaboration mindset: Ready to work closely with the team while also championing your own initiatives
  • Curiosity about app development: You don’t need to code, but you’re eager to learn the ins-and-outs of subscription apps, developer needs, and monetization strategies
  • Comfort in remote, async environments: Proficiency with Slack, Notion, Zoom, and other tools that keep distributed teams connected

Ideally you:

  • Have launched or managed a podcast—or similar audio/video content—focused on tech or startup topics
  • Bring experience from an early-stage startup or have led new community-building initiatives at a larger organization
  • Understand SEO fundamentals for driving organic traffic to editorial and educational platforms
  • Enjoy exploring whimsical” ways to engage communities—like unusual swag ideas, creative challenges, or large-scale user collaborations
