About Us

We’re a leading tech-driven SaaS company experiencing rapid growth. As we scale, we need a General Ledger (GL) Accountant to manage core accounting functions, ensure financial accuracy, and improve processes in alignment with GAAP and industry best practices.

What You’ll Do

As our General Ledger Accountant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing reconciliations, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance. You’ll work closely with finance, operations, and leadership to provide financial insights that drive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

 Month-End & Year-End Close

  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with GAAP.
  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries for revenue, expenses, accruals, and other key accounts.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Conduct trial balance reviews to verify financial consistency and correct any misclassifications.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.

 Account Reconciliations & Financial Accuracy

 Financial Reporting & Audit Support

  • Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Work with auditors to provide documentation, schedules, and explanations during annual financial audits.
  • Ensure proper record-keeping and compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and tax requirements.

Process Improvements & Internal Controls

  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, reduce manual work, and improve financial reporting efficiency.
  • Assist with implementing internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent errors or fraud.
  • Provide recommendations on best practices for accounting policies and procedures.

 Cross-Functional Collaboration & Decision Support

  • Partner with HR, Revenue Operations, and Accounts Receivable/Payable to ensure financial data accuracy and timely processing.
  • Provide financial insights to department heads to support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
  • Respond to ad-hoc financial reporting requests from leadership and other teams.

 Accounts Payable & Expense Report Management

  • Oversee the processing and reconciliation of vendor invoices and payments to ensure accuracy and timely payments.
  • Work with department leads to address invoice discrepancies, approvals, and vendor issues.
  • Monitor employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and proper documentation.

 

What You Bring

✔️ 3-5 years of general ledger accounting experience (preferably in a SaaS or tech environment). Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred or in progress).
✔️ Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
✔️ Experience with accounting software (Intacct, NetSuite, Expensify, and Salesforce Billing are a plus).
✔️ Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, and data analysis).
✔️ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
✔️ Effective communication skills—able to explain financial concepts to non-finance teams.
✔️ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
