Senior Software Engineer

Hybrid in Orem, Utah

Responsibilities

Development & Coding
  • Develop front-end applications using ReactJS, Redux, HTML, CSS, CDN, Express, and JWT-based security.
  • Build and maintain serverless microservices using AWS Lambda (backend).
  • Write, test, and debug JavaScript code across microservices and large SQL queries.
  • Add new features and services to the product.

Code Quality & Delivery
  • Test code at all development stages, fix bugs, and resolve system issues.
  • Review and release pull requests to deliver production-ready code.

Infrastructure
  • Build and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform, Serverless, and CloudFormation.
  • Create and maintain scripts for builds, releases, and deployments (e.g., JavaScript build systems, package management, Babel, Webpack, Serverless, TypeScript).
  • Manage databases, including DynamoDB (document-based), MySQL (relational), query debugging, optimization, and replication.

Team Collaboration & Leadership
  • Collaborate with team members, non-team members, and other departments to complete tasks.
  • Translate requirements into actionable tasks and assist Product Managers with feature discovery.
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers.
  • Provide weekly sprint feedback to teammates.
  • Help interview potential hires and occasionally lead the weekly Lunch & Learn meeting.
