What is a Personal Lines CSR?

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling Basic Billing Questions:As a CSR, you will be responsible for handling basic billing inquiries from customers, including questions about payment options, due dates, and policy changes. You can also pass higher-level billing questions on to the appropriate department.
  • Assisting with Policy Changes:Customers may need to make changes to their policy, such as adding or removing coverage. As a CSR, you will assist with these requests and ensure that all changes are accurately reflected in the policy.
  • Processing Claims:Customers will file insurance claims in the unfortunate event of an accident or damage to property. As a CSR, you will be responsible for processing these claims and providing updates to customers on the status of their claims.
  • Educating Clients on Insurance Options:You will do one-on-one consultations with clients to discuss their insurance needs and help them choose the right coverage options.
  • Assign Incoming Calls/Emails/Faxes:You will be responsible for managing incoming customer inquiries through phone calls, emails, and faxes and assigning them to the appropriate department for resolution.
  • Insurance Quotes:Provide Progressive Insurance Quotes to new potential customers.
  • Documentation of  Customer Interactions:Our company prioritizes customer satisfaction, and it is important to document all interactions with customers accurately for future reference.
  • Meeting Productivity Goals:We will assign you certain productivity goals that you must meet daily. These include handling a specific number of calls or emails within a set time frame.

Key Requirements

  • Education:At Progressive Insurance, we value education and prefer candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensed/Unlicensed:Both licensed and unlicensed candidates are welcome to apply for the Personal Lines CSR position at Progressive Insurance.
