Seasonal - Recycling Attendant (PT) ID-11449

Job Description

To perform a variety of skilled tasks in the operation and maintenance of the Killeen Recycling Center and its programs.

Essential Duties

Serves as an attendant at the Killeen Recycling Center. Assists patrons, provides quality control, prepares material for shipment.

Sorts material as directed. Removes contamination.

Ensures that tools and equipment are properly maintained and kept in proper working condition.

Loads and operates baler.

Pick-up litter, sweep, and clean areas and containers, as needed.

Employees 18 years or older; possesses and maintains a valid Texas driver's license and comply with City of Killeen driving policy.
 
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 16 years of age on or before date of hire.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Ability to communicate;
  2. Ability to complete assigned tasks;
  3. Ability to sustain effective working relationships with other employees and supervisors.
  4. Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Employees 18 years of age or older must have a valid Texas driver's license by date of hire.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
 
Skid-steer tractor, forklift, vertical baler, lawnmower, trimmer, and hand and power tools for facility maintenance.
