The second level of a three level series. The Director 2 classification serves as the chief operating position for medium to large and departments. It is distinguished from the other levels based on the size of the department and complexity of the operation.
Normal Working Hours: Monday - Friday; 7:30am - 4:30pm. Alternative work schedules may be offered.
CLASSIFICATION STATUS:
This position is unclassified under ORC 124.11(A) (3b). An unclassified employee is not included in the classified service, is exempt from all required examinations and serves at the pleasure of the appointing authority.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
Current Ohio Department of Commerce, Board of Building Standards: Building Official certification;
Residential Building Official Certification;
Ohio Manufactured Home (OMH) Inspector Certification;
Class III Building Inspector Certification.

Completion of undergraduate core program in business or public administration or closely related area; 10 yrs. experience in business or public administration; 5 yrs. progressively responsible managerial experience, including 24 mos. of senior managerial responsibilities related to the assigned area/programs; valid Ohio Driver’s License.
