A day in the life…

  • Provide quick and effective assistance to users, working on-site through troubleshooting, remediation and maintenance.
  • Utilize daily work management systems data to prioritize backlog of work and communicate identified issues/changes to leadership.
  • Protect the Nordstrom brand by ensuring that customer/other protected data and intellectual property is protected, never exposed to external breach or unauthorized access, and all appropriate security controls/practices are implemented.
  • Utilize your acumen to understand the difference between a singular failure or a widespread issue and escalating as necessary
  • Identify why a problem is occurring, analyze the possible failure points and create an effective plan and documentation for resolution using technical solutions
  • Perform maintenance activities to help prevent unexpected failures of technical equipment.
  • Demonstrate understanding and consistently deliver within the target SLA and KPI’s for the specific area.
  • This position requires that the candidate work onsite at our Nordstrom Stores and Racks in your dedicated areas. This position may also require travel to Nordstrom locations outside of your dedicated areas. In addition, this position has an on-call element that may require expanded overtime.

You own this if you have…

  • 2+ years' tech support experience
  • 2+ years’ experience troubleshooting, testing, or repairing technical equipment
  • Familiarity/experience working with Windows 10/11, Dell Desktop/Laptop, Zebra hand-held mobile scanners, thermal label printers (mobile/desktop), laser printers, access points, network hardware and cabling,
  • High motivation and self-direction with sound problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read/understand technical documentation and aptitude to learn quickly
  • Ability to function well in a fast-changing work environment
  • Ability to repetitively walk, bend, reach, stand, climb ladders and lift up to 50lb boxes without difficulty
