We’re looking for an Atlassian Administrator to join the IT Productivity Tools team! As a member of the IT team, you will play a critical role in managing and developing the Atlassian ecosystem at Snap. You will collaborate with a wide range of business stakeholders to create solutions within the Atlassian toolset.

What you’ll do:

  • You will be the strategic end-to-end owner of all Atlassian services
  • Offer recommendations to various lines of business on best practices and standardization in implementing and leveraging processes within the Atlassian Suite
  • Balance request queue SLAs while contributing to longer-term projects
  • Architect creative solutions to complex problems, validate the business requirements with stakeholders and provide the optimal IT solution using Jira
  • Determine ways to optimize/improve Jira process workflows, as well as identify where functionality can/cannot meet user requests
  • Develop metrics dashboards and advanced filters in Jira to provide end-users and business leadership with meaningful operational/performance metrics and status reports
  • Collaborate on the backend support of the Atlassian environment, and coordinate application maintenance and upgrades
  • Deliver educational information to internal customers and administrators to drive further adoption of JIRA
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to customers
  • Work with developers which have a highly technical demand for the Atlassian environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong understanding for Atlassian products, plug-ins, and roadmap features for future enhancements to support business objectives
  • Knowledge of Jira REST API or other REST based web services
  • Knowledge of third party customization add-ons (ScriptRunner, Automation for Jira, JMWE)
  • Skills to develop solutions for integration with other tools, automate manual processes, data migration routines and extract data for reporting and analytics purposes
  • Extensive knowledge of Atlassian architecture, focussing on JIRA, Jira Service Desk and Confluence with a deep understanding of modularized workflows, permission schemes, notification schemes, screens schemes
  • Ability to work independently across functions and work with all levels of users and management
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, including ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in a technical field or equivalent years of experience
  • 4+ years of administering enterprise level Atlassian applications (Server and/or Data Center)
  • Proficient in at least two of the scripting languages (Python, Groovy, Go, and Java)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Atlassian certifications and ITIL frameworks
  • Experience in working with indexable datastores (BigQuery)
  • Experience in working with CI/CD tools (Jenkins)
  • Understanding in Linux server command line troubleshooting utilities.
  • Experience in working with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with building and maintaining services on GCP or AWS
  • Basic understanding of system administration principles (monitoring, storage, scripting)
  • Scrum master or similar experience
