The Patient Access Department at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center currently seeks experienced Training Associates for immediate full-time opportunities in Hicksville, New York. Our ideal candidates will be excellent communicators, detail-oriented, mission-focused, and able to effectively multi-task and provide relevant feedback to both trainees and management.

Description

  • Train 12 customized new-user/existing-user curriculums.
  • Continually assessing training techniques and healthcare industry standards to develop and tailor teaching methods for optimal learning outcomes.
  • Shadow new users on-site to ensure they follow proper registration protocols.
  • Train recertification course material.
  • Train targeted curriculum(s) developed to address departmental needs.
  • Provide in-services on errors identified by Audits & Special Projects, PB, Business Offices and Corporate Compliance.
  • Perform registration audits on all point-of-service staff.
  • In-service end-users who fail their registration audit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or 5 years background in a healthcare insurance setting.
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience with proprietary EMR applications or practice management systems.
  • Familiarity with extended medical terminology.
  • Must have excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact positively and productively cross section of interdepartmental teams and personnel.
  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced and changing work environment.
  • Experience with EPIC, Microsoft Office, and Webex
