Junior Product Manager at Mechanical Orchard, you'll play a key role in helping your team define, prioritize, and deliver value to customers. Working closely with senior PMs and engineers, you'll contribute to shaping product direction, managing backlogs, and improving how we deliver modern software. We value curiosity and learning. This role is a great opportunity to deepen your skills across product, UX, and engineering.You will be expected to:Manage and prioritize the backlog in collaboration with the teamUnderstand and balance tradeoffs between customer needs, user needs, technical limitations, and security constraints while maintaining sustainable paceMaintain tight feedback loops within the project team and with internal stakeholdersMaintain excellent stakeholder relationships, with alignment on priorities and progressTypical activities include:Collaborate with the product team to define a vision, strategy, and roadmapHelp define product direction for projects that transform and modernize critical legacy systems using modern engineering practicesAttend agile team ceremonies such as daily standup, weekly planning, and weekly retrospectivesPartner with senior team members to maintain strong stakeholder relationships and ensure alignment on prioritiesBasic QualificationsHave a Bachelor's, or Master's in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related fieldStrategic thinking, technical skills, UX knowledge, attention to detailAbility to learn new software and technologies quicklyPreferred Qualifications1 to 4 years of Product Management experience through previous internships or co-op programs, work experience or bootcampsSome experience contributing to the full product development lifecyclePrevious experience in software and web developmentStrong communication and collaboration skills as well as empathy are essential for working closely with the development team, customers, and others at Mechanical Orchard.
