About the position
Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital (MASH) is seeking an internship trained Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or a seasoned Emergency Room (ER) DVM for a full-time emergency overnight position, which may include some swing shifts if desired. This role is critical as it involves providing emergency care during the overnight hours, ensuring that pets receive the necessary medical attention when they need it most. The overnight shift is structured as a 10-hour block from 10 PM to 8 AM, while the swing shift runs from 4 PM to 2 AM. All shifts will include overlap with evening emergency and critical care doctors, fostering a collaborative environment for optimal patient care. MASH is a 24-hour emergency and specialty animal hospital located in the heart of Hollywood, California. The hospital is currently operating from two campuses, the main hospital and an outpatient facility, with plans to move into a brand-new, state-of-the-art 52,000 square foot location in 2025.

Responsibilities
- Provide emergency veterinary care during overnight shifts.

Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited institution.
- Experience in emergency veterinary medicine, preferably in a clinical setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work overnight shifts and flexible scheduling as needed.
