We’re looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with strong, hands-on experience in VMware to join an established IT team based in Birmingham. This is a hybrid role (1 day a week on-site) and will suit someone who enjoys a mix of project-based work (predominantly) and some BAU support (escalations).

The Role

You’ll take the lead on a range of infrastructure projects, working across on-prem and cloud environments. This is a senior-level role, so alongside the technical work, you'll be supporting the Infrastructure Team Lead with mentoring more junior engineers and helping with task planning and allocation. You will help maintain a VMWare based enterprise scale highly regulated Infrastructure platform whilst also helping with migrations into Azure.

What We’re Looking For

  • Deep expertise in VMware – vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, etc.
  • Solid background in delivering infrastructure projects end-to-end
  • Comfortable acting as a technical escalation point and mentor
